The Association for Culturally Appropriate Services (AfCAS) is pleased to invite you to a "FREE Dementia Workshop - Befriending with Genie".

 

In this workshop, you will learn how to strengthen social connections, support loved ones, and build an inclusive, compassionate community that promotes wellbeing.

 

When: Thursday, 29 May 2025

Time: 2:00pm – 5:30pm

Where: Building 18:224, 2 Bradford St, Mount Lawley WA 6050

 

The workshop is organised by the Association for Culturally Appropriate Services through winning funding from the Aged Care Friendly Grants. 

 

It is facilitated by Loretta Baldassar, Director, ECU Social Ageing (SAGE) Futures Lab, Manonita Ghosh, Research Fellow, ECU SAGE Futures Lab & Nelgyn Tennyson, PhD Candidate and Research Officer.

Membership

AFCAS invites membership from CaLD community organisations, service providers and individuals to ensure services are culturally appropriate and accessible for CaLD clients. 

Committee

The work of AfCAS is directed by a committee representative of members from a range of CaLD backgrounds and experience of work in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Collaborations

Volunteering form the backbone of AfCAS. With our members and volunteers, in partnership with Universities and other like-minded organisations, we assist culturally and linguistically diverse seniors, and their service providers to improve the quality of care.
